Inspirational Story: From Village to the Future
In a small village in Kedah, lived a young man named Aiman, the son of a traditional farmer. Since childhood, Aiman was familiar with village life — waking up to the crowing of roosters, helping his father in the rice fields, and playing in the paddy with his friends.
But Aiman had a big dream. He wanted to transform the way farming was done in his village. While many of his peers moved to the city, Aiman chose to study agricultural engineering at a local university. There, he learned about drone technology, smart irrigation systems, and AI for farming.
After graduation, Aiman returned to his village. Many questioned his decision.
“Why come back to the village? There are more opportunities in the city!”
Aiman simply smiled. He began building a smart paddy system using soil and weather sensors to determine the best time to plant and harvest. His father, Pak Rahim, who was initially skeptical, now proudly watched their harvest double in yield.
Soon, their village became a model for modern agriculture. Young people started returning, building smart livestock barns, and opening digital learning centers for the next generation.
At the heart of this success, Aiman wrote a quote that now stands proudly at the village community hall:
"Don’t be afraid to dream big, because every dream is the first step toward success."
